25 July Event - Edit for date!

So I am in the planning stages for a July event. I hope to nail down a date with Becky tonight.
Any suggestions on what you guys want to see?

i wouldnt mind a 350 steamroller or mangled metal/ tooth and claw. something small so we can get alot of games in.

I got this suggestion of the cuff. It sounds like a fun event, but would like feed back if folks think it is way out.
List: 350 WM/HD list (No Mangled Metal Restrictions)
Event: Multiplayer
Tables are set up with multiple deployment zones and one control zone in the center. You earn VP for...
- each kill (Killing stroke earns the VP)
- 1 VP for conducting a Power Attack vs. and an enemy
- 15 VP for having the only model within the control zone at the end of your turn starting on turn 2.
The event will last three games, 80 minutes per game, with each player getting 5 min turns max. On a four person table that gives each player at least four turns. Dice down when time is called.
This has been run well at Kubla in the past and I think it could be fun with some fast action.
Thoughts?

Sounds fun to me. I like the fact that it's different and we may see different army constructions since this isn't restricted to MM. It should also play quickly at 350.

It does sound interesting... Is the 350 firm, or could we maybe say 375? I'm not saying that due to a certain list, just the fact that I haven't played in a while and I know I'm going to have trouble deciding what to bring

how big is the control zone? i think this could be fun, and i am definately willing to try it. i see some Risk (the board game) like alliances forming during the games.

Good question.
I'll call 5" radius from the center.
10" diameter... Plenty of room to kill things, but tough to hold.

Each game will have random draws for table assignments and location. Players will dice off for who goes first, then play goes clockwise.
The intent is to have fast and fun games that kill lots of stuff!
I'll ask Becky to put together a sign up sheet soon.
