I'm thinking about trying to see if we can get a league going with the version 5 rules. Is anyone interested? If so what nights would be good for you

We'd love to get a Blood Bowl league going. Let me know if you want me to order in armies for you. Bitz orders are due on Mondays.
Thinking about playing on Thursdays and or Sundays? Any thoughts?

2009 Game Shoppe Blood Bowl League!
It’s got thrills, chills, and more senseless random violence than you can shake a squig at. Witness powerful armored black orcs pounding elves to paste. Watch skaven gutter runners weave an impossibly lucky path through a host of defending skinks and saurus. See the amazingly incompetent ogres ruin the day. Feel the frustration, hear new creative cursing, and have no pity when maimed and dead players are unceremoniously thrown off the field. Be in the middle of fantasy football the way it was meant to be played. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, it’s the sport of medieval kings, decaying necromancers, and gluttonous halfling chefs. It’s strategy, tactics, and underhanded covert dealings. It is cursing Nuffle at every roll of the dice and wondering why you bothered to get out of bed this morning. It is laughing hysterically at your opponent’s misfortune and crying in your own fungus beer. It is Blood Bowl at its finest!
This Blood Bowl league, graciously sponsored by the Game Shoppe, is set to kick off on Sunday July 26th although games may be played at any time during the month of July. There will be a $3 entry fee to fund tournament trophies and Game Shoppe prize support. Each month a Sunday afternoon will be reserved for open competition. Games do not have to be played on this day, but everyone is encouraged to try to attend. Over the course of the next seven months coaches will test their skills (and their patience) over the Blood Bowl pitch, ending in the SuperBloodBowl. This league will use the Living Rulebook 5 available from the Games Workshop website with the rule review clarifications and special play cards allowed as inducement purchases. Each calendar month a coach will play a maximum of two games with any one team. Coaches are allowed to run multiple teams at one time, however they must choose only one of these teams to be eligible for entry in the end of the season play-off tournament. The league encourages coaches to play as many different coaches and teams as possible over the course of the season, but limits only playing the same coach with the same team more than twice in a row.
At the end of the season a win/loss/draw point system of 3/1/2 will seed a single elimination tournament bracket leading to the SuperBloodBowl Sunday play-off and then the SuperBloodBowl Sunday game. All coaches are eligible to compete if they do so choose. If more than eight coaches are competing, there will be a scheduled elimination round. In the event of a tie within a tournament game, a sudden death grab-and-go drive will be enacted with no new rerolls awarded.
Player numbers must be painted on models. Fully painted teams are not mandatory, but are encouraged to make the game more fun. Until we know exactly how many boards we have access to, please bring a board if you own one. Remember to thank Norm and the Game Shoppe for their cooperation by patronizing their business.

July is now well upon us.
Remember the official kick-off day is Sunday, July 26th so don't go making other plans.  Games do not have to be played on this day, but everyone is encouraged to attend regardless. Please sign up on the official sheet at the GS and get your $3 fee in. If you play a league game in advance of this date, please make sure to fill out a game record located within the binder. Come and play the game, meet your rival coaches, get to know your team's competition, and most importantly have fun. For Nuffle!
